Join the Farjam Research Group at Texas A&M University, where we seek highly motivated students with strong communication skills and technical writing proficiency. Our research centers on developing modeling frameworks and intelligent control strategies for complex dynamical systems, spanning advanced manufacturing, robotics, and beyond.

What We Are Looking For

We are searching for individuals who are passionate about innovation, particularly in the areas of modeling, sensing, and control. The ideal candidate will be eager to contribute to hands-on experimentation and the development of novel modeling and controls techniques.

Our lab offers a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research, especially in high-resolution additive manufacturing and intelligent control systems. Students in our group will actively participate in the design, fabrication, and setup of experimental platforms, gaining experience that bridges both theoretical and practical aspects of engineering.

We are particularly interested in candidates who possess expertise in a range of areas. Strong programming skills in Matlab/Simulink, LabVIEW, Python, and G-Code are valuable. Additionally, mechanical skills in CAD design, 3D printing, machining, and hardware implementation are important. Experience in electrical work, such as circuit design, electronics, sensor integration, and soldering, is also highly desirable. A solid theoretical background in controls, dynamics, manufacturing processes, material science, and process control, along with experience in equipment like amplifiers, function generators, high-speed cameras, and microscopes (optical, SEM, AFM), will further strengthen your application.

How to Apply

If you are interested in becoming part of our team, please send your CV, transcripts, and a brief statement outlining your research interests to Prof. Nazanin Farjam at nfarjam@tamu.edu.
