Farjam Research Group

The Farjam Research Group (FRG) at Texas A&M University develops modeling frameworks and intelligent control strategies for complex dynamical systems — systems where physics, uncertainty, and real-time decision-making all interact. Our work spans advanced manufacturing, from nanoscale printing to next-generation semiconductor fabrication, as well as emerging applications in robotics and autonomous systems.

We combine physics-based modeling with data-driven, learning-based methods to understand how these systems behave, predict how they’ll respond, and design control strategies that let them adapt in real time. Whether it’s a nanoscale printing process, a robotic system, or a different complex dynamical system operating in an uncertain environment, our goal is the same: to bridge the gap between theoretical models and real-world performance.

We’re always looking for motivated graduate and undergraduate students excited about modeling, controls, robotics, and manufacturing. See our People page for more details.
